Pre-Paint Preparation

For the sake of simplicity in this post, we will assume the house is vacant and free of furniture. This is definitely not always the case, but we are able to work in most any situation. On every occasion preparation is  a very important aspects of house painting. It is not only significant to the appearance of the paint job, but the longevity as well. There can be many steps involved in the prep process, especially if repair work is necessary. We will always insure this is done correctly, with premium results by a knowledgeable staff.

Usually ceilings, walls, and areas of floor space are first thoroughly vacuumed with a HEPA vacuum system. Floors or anything else that needs protecting will be covered with rosin paper, drop cloths or plastic sheeting. Plastic switch plates are removed and cleaned before being replaced. Walls are wiped down, scraped, and or sanded, depending on what level of preparation is required. Nail holes are filled, larger holes are repaired, and texture is applied to match the existing finish.  Cracks and any problems with drywall tape lines will be addressed. In the case of major damage; we are very skilled with replacing larger sections of drywall as well. Nail holes in trim and baseboards are filled and sanding is done where needed. As a final touch, trim, baseboards and other areas are caulked to provide a beautiful appearance to your home!

Paint application

Once the prep work has been completed to a level and quality unlikely to be matched; we apply high end “top shelf” paint usually from Sherwin Williams. We use Urethane paint on trim and doors providing an amazing look that is smooth and extremely durable. For the most part; our interior painting is done by brush and roller and with two generous coats. If the job site permits; we may use an airless sprayer on the ceilings and closets. Doors, trim, and baseboard may also be painted with an airless sprayer depending on the jobsite. Regardless of the application method, the results of our interior painting are always the same; a truly amazing transformation of your home or business!

Touch Up / Clean Up

At this point the job is basically completed. Switch plates and anything else we may have removed are reinstalled. The entire job is inspected and any necessary touch ups are addressed. All trash from masking etc. is removed from the premises and hauled off by us. We leave you with any extra paint of each color used, so you will have it for any touchups you may need to do at a much later date. We also keep track of the colors and paint codes for you as well, in case you do not want any paint left behind. This way if you need to do any touch up or repair work down the road, you can contact us for the color and product match. All other equipment and drop cloths etc. are removed and any necessary vacuuming is done.

The Customer Walk Through

At this point the final stage is to walk through the  project with you and make sure you are completely satisfied with all aspects of our work. We like to do this while the paint is still out and a crew member is here, just incase we spot something that may have missed. While this may be unlikely, and we do our best to ensure the job is completed with the highest level of quality; we are human however, and could possibly make a small mistake.
